Propane wall heater

I have a propane vented wall heater that I cannot get the pilot light to stay lit. The pilot light is not adjustable as i thought by increasing the size of the flame would help reaching the thermocouple.Now after saying that I was wondering if tank pressure would effect that problem as I looked at the gauge on the tank and it was on E ? Although there must be some gas in the tank as I could get the pilot lit. Any ideas on this would be appreciated? Thank You Stan

Yes, tank pressure will cause your symptoms. Several others could as well, but that's an easy fix.
