Yesterday I opened a can of Zinzzer Shellac and sealer.  I'd had it for a long time but had never used it.
When I opened the can a loud pop and rush of air came out of the can.  I noted later the bottom of the can was bowled out.
I'd never had that happen before.  But, then again, I'm not really a Shellac type of guy.

Be sure to test that stuff before using it. Put a drop on a piece of glass and see if it hardens.
I started with absolutely nothing. Now, thanks to years of hard work, careful planning, and perseverance, I find I still have most of it left.

You can tell the age by the code stamped on the lid.

First number after the letter is the year
Next number is the month, except that n=nov and d=dec
Next 2 numbers is the day.

If that stuff is more then 2 years old, I would be hesitant to use it, but test it out and see if it still dries quickly.
