I have some of these old Bedrocks, #'s 603C through 608C, all are "C's". They are solid users for me, but I really don't like the corrugated soles. Probably my bad technique, but when edge planing short pieces the corrugations sometimes catch on the workpiece edge. I watch the S&S and other old tool sources but have never seen any round-side Bedrocks that weren't "C", corrugated. Did they make them all this way? Or are there some smooth bottom examples out there? Just curious...

One thing is for certain though. Whichever method you use, you can be absolutely certain that you are most assuredly doing it wrong. Axehandle, 2/24/2016
