Well, I had just gone through and resawn a few reclaimed 2x4s down....Boss comes up and says she wants a new pantry cupboard.   had to go out and buy a bit of pine.   1x4s, 1x8s, and a couple 1 x 10s, all 6' long.

Glued up two panels to make the sides
[attachment=2343]
And ripped a 1x4 to make the stiles for a face frame
Had to crosscut a second 1 x 4
[attachment=2344]
Used the "new" panel saw for that.   Needed two rails at 30" long.  Join the rails to the stiles with half laps
[attachment=2345]
Needed to rip a few more parts, to make two webframes to help join the sides together..
[attachment=2346]
Had a benchful of tools to work on the laps..
[attachment=2347]
Just the usual suspects....

Stay tuned for the next episode....hope you like it.

Can I have carrots and broccoli?
Crazy

There's wood. I have lots of that; and even for projects--some projects are forgotten.

Waiting......

Will just have to wait until tomorrow evening, for the next episode...

til then...
[attachment=2355]
These USED to be a few 2 x 4s I salvaged.   Resawn down to 3/4 x 3"
[attachment=2356]
The plain side..
[attachment=2357]
Saw mark side,,,
[attachment=2358]
Millers Falls #11 Junior Jack to smooth out both sides.

Will use these for parts for the cupboard build.

While you are waiting...

Ok, this might take two posts....here goes ( until the glue dries...
Rolleyes)
Cleaned all the saw marks up, made a LOT of shavings...
[attachment=2365]
The four shorter [ieces of the webframes needed tenons made
[attachment=2366]
Needed to set up a jig to chop a few mortises..
[attachment=2367]
Just three pieces of scrap.  I can clamp each part in place...
[attachment=2368]
And do a mortise to match the tenon..
[attachment=2369]
Something like this.   I chop into the far end, after a saw has made a kerf to follow.   Pop the waste out.

Part 2...

Part 2:  Dry fits..
[attachment=2370]
Tenons seem to fit nicely, got all four corners done..
[attachment=2371]
And check for square..
[attachment=2372]
Looks decent.   Went ahead and made both frames.   Bottom webframe was glued up first..
[attachment=2373]
Not enough space ....

For the rest of this morning's efforts....so, page three...
Top frame was a little different..
[attachment=2374]
Only one stiffener was used, as only the top is above it.  Doesn't need to support a lot of can goods.

On both the sets of stiffeners,  pilot holes were drilled.   then a small drill was used
[attachment=2375]
With a countersink bit...

The single one was centered,  the other two were set in about 5" from the outside edge.   Drove one screw ( glue was applied first) and check for square, then drive the other screws.

So, Lunch Break!   I have both webframes sitting all clamped up, once the glue has set, I can work on gluing  up the face frame.   Maybe tomorrow, I can attach the assemblies to the sides?

What's for Lunch?
Confused
