Beautiful bench, Andy.

What about signing it with the date of completion? Something to look back upon.

Best wishes for Christmas and the New Year.

I've archived this thread as a PDF file and stored it on my server for anyone to access.

Here is the link: WoodNet Forums_ A_long_time_ago_in_a_basement_far_far_away.pdf

The file will be there for a long, long time.

I'm hoping to have time to build a nice bench for the summer. The lumberyard (North NJ) I use has a good selection of hardwood beams.

Once I finally finish the kitchen cabinets, I have approval from higher to go ahead and build a pretty bench ;-)

Good luck on your bench and if you can post some pictures from time to time.

I'll be making copious notes and also taking pictures as I go.

It may be late summer, though, before I start. There's always something.
