Another thing to look for is when the big boxes change vendors and liquidate their old stock. Sometimes marked down in their store. I got a bunch of 48" Jorgensons at Ollie's Bargain Barn (a liquidation retailer) for about 1/3 to 1/2 off a couple of years ago. There's also a couple of auction sites that sell liquidations. In summary: look and you may find.

Of course they do, right after you buy some for the project.

I think Jorgensen went overseas too.

I've had good luck putting an amazon price watch on via camelcamelcamel. I have a decent little stable of Jets that I paid about $15 per clamp for. Not bad. Not the quickest way, but if you have time.

I have quite a few of the Bessy's which are great but also heavy. When I built my "Paul Sellers" style bench I sprung for the "cheap" Harbor Freight Alumium and modified them like Paul did and surprisingly they work very nice and are light.

I got some of the same 48" Jorgenson clamps as well as some 24" as well. I bought as many as I could carry back from TN.

Better than decent. I used camelcamelcamel to look up older Amazon prices, and you have to go back 2 years or more to find better deals. Think I will pick up a couple.

Is the sale over, or am I missing something?

Woodpeckers: Bessey K-Body Revo - 12" x 3-3/4" capacity $99.99 (for two).

Amazon: $67.98 + $8.95 shipping (for two) (through Viking Mountain Tool Works).
