When Jack of Omaha made his post

I went to the goodwill site and found a nice Stanley 45 going for $26.

They have other tools too of which I did not know they had good stuff like this.

Just who would give a nice plane away anyway.

The Stanley 45 might not even be worth $10. The fence is broken and it's essentially all rust. Way more rust than normal. But the website may have some treasures.

I do find good items there. My deal is to scour the local site and avoid paying shipping by picking up at local site. Here is an amazing site a former Continental Can plant. It is about four football fields behind the scene and they also aggregate from many other towns and it is a good place for large furniture pieces. They have dealers who are there all day every day. Price is 67 cents a pound over 50 pounds but price furniture to move it really fast. But it is a nice place to shop on line for just about anything you might want. In Omaha locally we have 15 Goodwill stores and the amount of goods going through each store will blow your mind. They price all over the place sometimes too cheap sometimes way too high! One item I purchased online is a digital Canon SX50 camera. If you like telephoto function this is the camera for you!

Wish they took better pics. There's a lot of four tools, linked in this thread, that could include a M-F version of a #2 bench plane; or could be some piece of trash. No easy way to tell, given the picture quality.

the 45 would be worth it for parts if you needed any.

In the grab bag lot, what is the curved blade looking thingie with maybe a L-N handle?

The drill chucks on MTs are worth a fair amount more than what the winner paid for the whole lot.

That curved blade thing caught my eye also... did a little digging and found it. It retails for $57. Called a garden Cruuk

Now that looks handy, if you're the gardening sort. It makes me wonder about using a scorp to weed the garden
