Christmas presents w/pic
#6
I've been making clocks for retirement and Christmas gifts for years now and I decided I wanted to try a new design. Here's what I came up with

The one on the left is birdseye maple and walnut and the one on the right is lacewood and wenge.

Finished with General Finishes Seal a cell. In a few days I'll hit it with a few coats of rattle can lacquer.

Cool! Love the design.

Where do you get reliable clock mechanisms? The ones I bought at a local woodworking store were horrid. They came from Penn State...failed within a short time.

Schlabaugh and Sons. Google them they have some pretty neat stuff.

I think I like the dark one best, but they're both pretty cool!
