What is this?

It looks like a deep red marble. And maybe it is. But I found it on the floor next to my planer (PM 15HH), and I can't think of any reason I would own a red marble. So just in case something popped out of my power tool -- what it this?

If the answer is "red marble," I'm a happy guy.
