What kind of adhesive to use?
#9
Any suggestions on how to glue glass to wood so you don't see the glue through the glass? I'm interested in doing something like this. http://gregklassen.bigcartel.com/products I've seen some similar works on line. Any ideas/suggestions?

Are you certain the glass is glued in place on those tables? I think it would be better to leave the glass loose and let gravity do its thing.

There is hanging wall art too so it must be glued in place.

I guess I would start with the companies that make adhesives for bonding lens elements together. There is a hobby category of people who make telescopes and they use that adhesive. It would necessarily be clear. It might not work well with a very porous surface. You might have to finish the wood prior to gluing up.

Epoxy is opaque, silicone adhesive and E-6000 dry a bit milky. I would not be happy with any of those choices.

Norland probably makes what you need but you will have to contact them for a recommendation.

Here is one of the wall units. Looks like the glass is edge glued.

Sorry for the big image.

There are lots of grades of crazy glue and that is pretty clear. But they don't have any significant gap filling capability as far as I know.

One of the grades might work. I'd contact the manufacturer: http://www.permabond.com/product/cyanoac...sives.html

Smooth on makes two products that may work. One is a Urethane and the other is an Epoxy I think the epoxy would be the best bet. It is optically clear and really strong. The trick will be controlling trapped air and squeeze out.

Jeff,
Have you emailed Greg to ask him?
He'd probably tell you what adhesive he uses.
