Would you like to buy some chisels?
#11
Was how the conversation started. The woman that called said she had gotten my name from someone that I had bought some tools from a while back. I told her I would certainly be interested in looking at them and nearly stroked out when I saw what she had. I came home with these. First group are J. Addis carving gouges.

This next batch is a large group of Buck Bros. carving gouges

Some Charles Buck in-cannell gouges

An assortment of Buck Bros. and other makers firmer chisels and gouges

There were also several planes, slip stones and this little baby which appears to have never been used.

I was happy she called

Wow! What a score! I believe a hearty "You Suck!" Is in order!

Those are the nicest looking Buck Bros. carvers I've ever seen!

Enjoy!

Hey Dave. Why is it I get a queasy and nauseous feeling everytime I see you post something. I become overwhelmed with jealousy followed by the sweats. You are truly a tool magnet. Very nice score, as always.

Wow! That's a fantastic haul, Dave. Well done. Putting together a set like that would cost a mint.

I prefer not to post how much I pay for items that I'll be putting up for sale. Suffice it to say that I'll be able to sell these at good prices and still be able to make a few sheckles.
