HANDTOOLS: Nice Stuff, Woodie Jack;Worth a Look; and Router Bits.....
#5
Some very nice, and interesting things that might tickle your fancy, not often found, especially in this condition.

First up is a Stanley #626 eggbeater in outstanding condition; smooth operation, dual gearing, wood in excellent condition, chuck works as it should, handle firm, even partial decal; just not anything not nice to say about this tool, if I had the box this would be double the price; zero apologies, yours for $30 plus shipping; pics:

Next up is an aluminum tote, don't think its ever been used, made by Stanley as a replacement item for broken totes that woodworkers failed to be able to repair (imagine that!), I don't find many of these, some say they are collectible, but I'm not a collectible type of guy, so its yours for $20 plus shipping; fits Nos. 4 1/2, 5, 6, 7 and 8; pics:

Next is an interesting item, a General gasket cutter, made for brace or hand drill, very well made, especially the two cutters; now, not many here are cutting gaskets, but this has application in the shop, for marking circles, or for the more inventive, using the two cutters for making one heck of a marking gauge; anyway, sold as a gasket cutter and circle marking gauge, yours for $25 shipped in small flat rate box; pics:

Next, we have these router bits, not a handtool, but these are worthy bits, Craftsman, 4 bit set, 1/4" shank, very lightly, if ever, used, carbide is crispy, well made, wood case that says Craftsman, hard to see but there, anyway, pics tell the story of the profiles, yours for $18 plus shipping; pics:

Next up is an exceptional woodie jack plane, somehow I've been finding these lately in great condition as I tend to pass on them unless in exceptional shape, this one is clearly 19th century manufacture, marked "Union Factory Warranted H. Chapin 113" and is 16" long, 3" wide and a full 3" deep; iron is in great shape and is 2 1/4 wide, a full 3/16 thick at working end and marked "Cloverleaf", cap iron is massive, tote solid, wood body solid with no cracking, sole needs jointing, those marks are scratches not cracks; mouth in good shape, not buggered, no signs of abuse, in excellent condition for an antique, as crispy as these things can get, and there's lots and lots of use left in this plane; nothing like the whisp of a wood plane on wood; yours for $60 plus shipping; you don't see these in this type of condition very often, given the maker, its likely worth more than this, look it up, but will be an excellent user; pics:

Last but not least, this is a Stanley Type 11 #3; this one has sat in my shop for about 10 years, it was covered in grease when I got it and when I cleaned it up it revealed itself; absolutely stunning for a 100 year old plane; all original and correct for type down to the triangle SR&L logo on the iron; rosewood in exceptional condition, original japanning is 99.9%, all metal sound and 100% mechanically; zero apologies, true collector quality century+ old plane, time to pass it along to an appreciative buyer for display or use, yours for $85 plus shipping; tool porn pics:

As always, first PM with an unequivocal "I'll take it" gets priority, and please include your full shipping address so I can quote postage and print up shipping labels. I don't have Paypal, so payment by USPS money order please unless I know you then checks are ok.

Some exception stuff here, but priced to sell and use (except that #3, its a real beauty, you just don't find them like that anymore....)

Thanks for looking.
