New project--torpedo level cleanup
#3
I took advantage of the reasonably cool shop this morning and got another project out of the way. This little torpedo level just spoke to me because it was made by Douglas Aircraft in Charlotte, NC. I grew up in Gastonia and could see the Charlotte skyline from my bedroom.

I brushed and sanded it to remove the corrosion as a highly polished surface would not look vintage.

I think it looks better with a little cleanup.

And here is the money shot:

I checked it out and all of the vials read true so now it is time to put this little guy back to work.

Jim I love how you transform old tools into giving them a new life, however I can not see the pictures.
