CVSW Open House Sept 10
#10
The Connecticut Valley School of Woodworking will be hosting its annual open house on Saturday, Sept 10 from 9-4. Event details are here:  http://www.schoolofwoodworking.com/open-house-2016.html It's always a good time and a great way to meet some famous woodworkers, try out various vendors' tools, and learn a lot about woodworking. As in prior years, the parking lot will host an antique tool sale with several vendors setup selling. I've heard WoodNett's own Dave Parkis will be there as well as other well-known dealers. I'll be there, weather permitting, with a couple of thousand pounds of tools for sale, all user stuff ranging from crisp and minty to ugly and cheap. It should be a fun time.

This show is well worth attending both for the outside vendors as well as the folks inside.

I do plan to be there with a carload of tools to sell (weather permitting). Mostly vintage stuff, but there will be some newer stuff as well. I was lucky enough to be invited last year as well and it was a LOT of fun. Matt Cianci will be there too.

Excellent!! Are you going to encourage folks to bring in a blade to show off the jig?

I think you just did. Yes bring a blade to sharpen if you want. I'm not sure if I'll be inside or outside or if I'll have access to power but I'll have the hand grinder also if the edge is really bad and a selection of stones. I'll also have my show bench so you can try out the leg vise with the chain.
