Lamp suggestion for Workbench

I googled "articulated arm desk lamp" and got an immediate hit. Here is the HD version.

These lamps terminate with a post that fits into a socket. It looks like Rob made his own base.

I cobbled together a base for a gooseneck LED lamp using a piece of aluminum angle and some hardwood scraps. The angle is drilled to accommodate a 1/2 X 13 bolt which screws into a "Bench Anchor" from Lee Valley:

Bench anchors provide a secure, threaded anchor point in any 3/4" hole. I pick an appropriate round bench dog hole, insert and tighten the anchor and screw the lamp to my bench top.

I can locate the lamp anywhere I have a round dog hole. It takes about 30 seconds to move it from one place to another, if that long, and I can remove it altogether If I need the entire bench top clear. Works great.

The Ikea ones are excellent, well made and an excellent value too at $9; some of the other designs can be flimsy.  Problem is they only sell them at stores...... I must have at least 4 or 5 of them all over the shop.  Here's the link

Lee Valley sells a dog style insert to hold the 1/2" shaft in any 3/4" dog hole. That's what I bought. Drops right in easy to move no tools needed.

LIL. I got 4 of them at some local store (probably Walmart) for like $10 each.
I have one for my grinder, my drill press, my bench lathe, and another for general purposes.
