Ice maker problem?

The filter is usually in the bottom front behind the grill.
There should be one if it has an ice maker.
It definitely has one if you have water thru the door.

 Ge is usually inside the fridge at the top right rear. Looks like a little oil filter. Always best to install a filter bypass and use an external filter. Better filtration longer time between changes and way way cheaper. Also most GE fridges come with a bypass so you don't have to buy it. Some are over $30 and some are not available at all.  

           A filter bypass is required if you have a reverse osmosis filter.

Besides that, if you will go to your front door- open it and scoop up some of that ice outside, you'll be set for a while. It's 4* there.
