I think he made a nice ambrosia Maple vase for the first turning.

Now here are some of mine and the first one is Claro Walnut with Curly Maple top and Indian Rose wood finial

Here a friend of mine gave me the Spalted Maple blank for my birthday in 2015 and I glued a piece of Mahoney to the top and left it for 8 months before I turned it.  It also had a lot of bug holes which I cleaned out just to look nice.

I did many more along with more vets but did not have a camera at the time from my daughter.  I will get one this year tho.

I could not post all of them in the first one so here are some more

Now here is something I was really really surprised about thinking it was Black Walnut but when I taken it off of the shelf it said Rainbow Poplar.  I really love the soft and wavy affects of the grain

Now the last one I really like and with all the glue ups which I make for Ring Holders and this one with a lid to hold a ring also

The woods are

Canarywood
Black Walnut
Padauk
With the finial and ring holder of Cocobolo.

The last was a really neat looking Maple bowl with Red and Green in it also

I do not know if you can see in the first photo but I put a ring of Brass around it too.

That was stuff from 2016 and not all of it, I also did several dozen more wooden roses I hope to sell for Valenites day and about 15 other turnings and about 25 other vets to.  Yah 2016 was to busy and it seemed I never caught up and I am still behind for the Christmas Auction I donated items for.

Thanks guys

O and I have all the above stuff for sale at a place called Repurpose Country Store which sells only hand crafted items and some of the sewing things are fantastic.
