Though maybe you had big pencils...
Winkgrin

Seriously though, I have poor typing and writing posture so I rest my wrists on the desktop. A tall stop might bother me.

Good luck with the water. Maybe you can go fishing in the new pond.

That's looking nice! The desk. The water, not so much.

Moved the desk to the front room in the house, hoping I had enough room and light..

Spread out the newspaper, and tried to fit this fat body all around the desk, with a varnish brush in hand

What I had thought was Cherry, turned out to be mainly Curly Maple....

Yes, I even varnished under the hood..er..lid..
Laugh

So..have since rubbed it done with 0000 steel wool,   will wipe it off with a tack rag, before I apply coat #2 tomorrow.

There IS a small amout of Cherry....the false top between the stand and the desk.

That be a PIP...we'll see how coat #2 turns out...
Cool
Show me a picture, I'll build a project from that

Desk has been finished up, and ready to deliver..

Based on the Rachel's Standing Desk episodes by The Woodwright's Shop

Other than Roy using Pine for his..

Might have gotten pretty close?

Maybe?

I still have that Candy Box to finish up...after that?

Thanks for looking in

looks great! It came out well.

You've got me thinking about making one for the top of my kid's dresser. Can't pile junk on a sloped top.
