I got two of these at Big Lots many years ago (back when they had lots of top-name closeouts and not just Chinese junk), which are now the end and side vises on my workbench.  They work really well, smooth action and grip very tight.  Not sure about the worth, since i got mine for $25 each as a closeout, but those days are long gone I'm sure.
