Chittum Burl Pens X 2
#4
I turned some Chittum Burl pens for a guy who sent me some of the wood.
Let me tell you Chittum Burl is extremely difficult to turn.
The grain goes every which way all at the same time.
It is brittle, especially when it is not stabilized. Very prone to tear out.
That said, here's the first pen. Sorry about the quality.
I'm using an old camera with a new OS & I'm lucky it works at all.

It's a David Broadwell Art Deco Ballpoint pen.
Here's the kit, in case someone wants one.

The 2nd pen is the same piece of Chittum Burl on a Gatsby pen kit.
Link for the pen kit is here:

Let me know what you guys think of them.
Thanks.

I also like them a lot and love the look of the Art Deco one.  I have seen them for 5 years at PSI, but just could not bring myself to pay that much for us to use.

Also that price is a lot better then PSI unless you buy 50 or more then it goes down to $13.95
As of this time I am not teaching vets to turn. Also please do not send any items to me without prior notification.  Thank You Everyone.

It is always the right time, to do the right thing.
