Boxes ?

I'm gonna make a stab at making boxes soon. I've been watching video's by Ray Key and he uses a modified scraper shown below. Do any of you all use such a grind on a scraper so that the side wall (of the box) is smoothed?

It seems to me that the tool would catch easily. I've got this image in my mind, that is making me a scardy cat to use it. Any and all feedback is welcomed.

I have an old Footprint 1" scraper that I ground a sweeping side curve to it. It works just fine for getting at the sides and under the lip. This scraper is rather thin at ~3/16" thick and since I sometimes have it hanging over the rest quite a way, it gets chatter pretty easily. I don't find that it catches any more than another grind shape.
