Restoring a Millers Falls #8.

Whoa, at first blush I thought this was more of a clean up than a restoration.

Anyway this is a red frog Millers Falls #8. Which is roughly the size of a Stanley #3.

Sure, its dirty and sort of beat and crusty, but I honestly thought it was cleaner than it proved to be.

Good grief, tote and knob were rough as hell, both getting a refinish.

I thought shavings and spider nests in the frog were standard. What's your process for the knob and tote?
Currently a smarta$$ but hoping to one day graduate to wisea$$
