What's up with all the spam I'm seeing?

The last couple of days I've seen a half dozen or so spam postings. I thought anyone signing up for the forum had to get approved by a moderator before they could post. Has someone hacked the forum?

I don't know that they approve new accounts.

I've seen more spam posts also.

I reported one last night. It was for some kind of product and it had a link. Didn't click it, but IIRC it was in the hand tool section of the forum, where it obviously did not belong.
Near future projects:

-Curly Maple display case
-Jatoba and Quilted Maple dresser

Well Handi just told me in another thread that Woodsmith doesn't host this forum any longer. I did not know that. When they hosted it the mods had to approve a new account before it was activated. That might not be the case any longer.

Thanks Admiral. It's hard to keep up with any company these days with all of the acquisitions going on.

All the Woodnet spam I get seems related to project plans.  And it seems daily now...
