Looking for plans for two-drawer file cabinet
#6
I'm building a two-drawer wood file cabinet.  Does anyone know where I could find some basic plans?  They don't need to be very detailed; just looking for dimensions and general construction methods that have worked.  I'm planning to make the main box out of 1/2" solid oak, not plywood.

I did a quick search and didn't find anything already posted. Brand new to forum, first post here, so please go easy on me if I broke any rules.

Thanks,

Are you making the cabinet frameless or with a face frame?

I wouldn't make the carcass out of solid wood unless you do raised panel sides.  Oak ply is your best bet.  1/2" ply for the drawers

Anna White's blog (I think she works for Kreg) shows one using all pocket hole construction.  But the dimensions are all there and the images are all clear.  In fact the blog became suddenly very professional looking and she may be getting substantial help from Kreg in the production of the blog.
