Tool swapmeet - 5/19 (Culver City, CA)
#4
This is cut from an reminder email the organizers send out.   I'll probably be selling some stuff there this time.

Just a note to remind you that May 19 is the next Anderson Plywood Old Tool Swap Meet from 6AM-Noon.  The address is 4020 Sepulveda Blvd in Culver City, CA  90230.  We start setting up at 4:30AM.  If you are new, wait until LAURA or JOHN get there because some areas are restricted. Please respect Laura as the authority until John or a store rep arrives.  The Swap Meet will be held Rain or Shine.  If it is raining, we set up inside Anderson Plywood.

Please DO NOT BRING trailers or oversized moving trucks.  Most of the spaces can handle normal size pick up trucks or vans.  There are several new spots that require unloading your tools and then parking your vehicle in the Elks parking lot.  If you only have a few tools, you can put them in my space.

There will be Old Tools, Antique Tools, Good Quality User Tools plus Much Misc including some small general antiques and collectibles. Please bring at least 50 to 75% old tools or tool related items if you want to sell at Anderson Plywood.  Dealers watch your tools.  If you leave your space, have a neighbor watch your tools.  If you have small valuable items, put them in a locked case.  Shoplifters are not welcome at any of our events.

Anderson Plywood is really more of a HOBBY Old Tool Swap Meet.  A lot of our sellers are cleaning out their Woodworking  or Machinist Workshops or selling duplicates and excess from their hand tool collections.  We only have a few full time tool dealers who fit us in to their regular selling ventures.  If you have oversized loads of tools, you need to take your load to the Long Beach Car Show (or the Antique Show) where they allow big vehicles and welcome a wider assortment of new and old tool stuff to be sold as well as car parts.

See you May 19 at Anderson Plywood[Image: cleardot.gif]

Dang, want to hit one of these, but they seem to keep happening when the weekend is spoken for!
Reality is a nice place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there.
