Naw, they just leaned back.   But in my buddy's Rambler; they went all the way back - flat into the back seat, a fabulous feature.  I used to borrow his car for the drive-in!  Do they even have drive-in movies anymore???

Drive-in movies? Yes-there are two within twenty miles of my hometown. Both show first run movies.

I just googled, only one left in NJ, in Vineland, way, way south in NJ:

In PA, there is one in Brookville and one on 322 between Clearfield and Philipsburg.

I'm not sure, but I vaguely remember something that a few years back, movies were only to be released in a digital format and no longer on film reels. That seemed to spell the death of most drive-ins, because of the high cost of change in that type of setting. Both locations I mentioned, had the local communities apply for grants, etc., to help with the costs.

Well, VW front seats only go "half back" whilst the Rambler's went "full back"; marginal, I know, but there's at least some connection!!

Can anyone tell me if Mike is still around? Is he ok health wise?

Seems that Lee Valley has removed the majority, if not all of the Wenzloff saws from their website.

Hope Mike is ok.

Me too.  You have to meet Mike to appreciate him.  He was at a couple of WIA's.  His saws are perfection, but health and business problems seem to have gotten the best of him.  I have a couple of his saws.
