I am trying to help my son, who is off serving, remotely.
He has a 10" ToolStar 3 wheel bandsaw that he is trying to rehab. It is missing not only the blade guides, but the blade guide mounting apparatus. Can't even find the name brand on google.
Has anyone heard of this brand? Know who makes it?

Does it look like this Skil Model 3104,

It unfortunately is not the same as a Skil 3104. He says the Skil has an internal guide and his is an external clamp.

That version of saw was commonly produced probably about 20-30 years ago. It was a poor performer when new and probably won't be much better no matter how much TLC you give it. 3 wheel saws are notorious for having issues with alignment and to top it off the wheels in this saw are small with some pretty tight radius's, all of which make it hard for a blade to stay centered and maintain tension. It sounds like you are trying to help him out with it, but if it were me, I would look for an old delta 14" or at least one of the clones and go with that or some older American saw that would be a decent performer.

Not sure if this is ok here, but I found a thread at another site about a saw that looks like this. Apparently, there were quite a few companies that released similar saws. One of these may get you what you need.

I agree that he is moving deck chairs on the Titanic... But.. He is always looking for project when he is off shift. Gets as much joy from working on a worthless tool as when he is doing wood working. A project is a project to starving hands. And he only has about 8' x 12' of "personal" space. Looks like a very small hardware store in there I am sure.
