An early test fit...
Rolleyes

Then another, after the other 3 mortises were squared away...

Showed the stretcher to be just a hair too long, somehow
Uhoh
Adjust that and cut the kerfs.    The three at a time kerfs...
Confused

Spokeshaves?   Had 3, hoped that at least one was sharpened...
Rolleyes

Back was acting up...called it quitting time...

We'll see how today goes.....stay tuned to this Bat Channel

Now sitting in the clamps, waiting on the glue to dry..
Cool

All sanded to 180 grit, for now.    Easier than doing this once it is assembled...
Rolleyes

Top has it's own system of clamps....legs?
No

Had "issues"......legs came from a borg glued up panel....had a glue joint fail....fix those, glue and clamps.    Stretcher also had a split..too fat of a wedge. Fixed.   Stretcher needed pulled tight to the legs....fixed that with the orange clamp.
Upset

Letting this mess sit awhile, until the cure has dried....then some clean up...
Stay tuned.....

A view of the top ...
Cool

Underside ( this only stands 8" tall, counting the top)

And seen from the side.   just under 12" long...about 8-3/4" wide.....small plant stand?   Or a foot rest for the Boss?
Rolleyes

need to figure out the finish, next.    Woodworking is about done.
Cool

Very nice, not a whole lot of meat left in those legs though.  My fat ars might flatten those first time I sat/stepped on it.  Love the through M&T for the top.  I may have to steal that and make one for myself.
Semper Fi,
