A bit more involved Horn repair
#3
There's more than saw-totes and plane-totes needing new horns...

Recovering from a recent loss in flipping a string of German planes off "the auction place". ..   I wanted to re-use the horn from a scrapped plane in another plane.  There was a total mismatch on size, but I was able to determine that the "desired horn" dimensions existed totally inside a bigger "spare horn".   Looking back, I should have taken a picture of the glue-chuck I used on the lathe.   Anyway, I was able to use a turning axis that went through the center of the base and the center of the tip, and carefully trim the base to a new diameter, without smacking the nice curves in the middle.   Then some rasp work, etc.   Quite fun, and I'll look forward to the next one
