Back in the 1950's at the now defunct Franklin Square NY Lumber Yard there was a framed newspaper article on the mill wall.
Seems as a customer -- without authorization -- decided to use the table saw, had a kick back, and sent a piece of 1 by something through another customer's stomach, who later died.

I was taught as a kid "Don't stand in line with the blade" The water heater that was in line with the blade had several dents in the jacket. This was way before any safety devices were thought of.
My boss is a Jewish carpenter. Our DADDY owns the business. Trying to understand some people is like trying to pick up the clean end of a turd.
