This is a walnut trunk from my neighbors tree.
It was the fudge where two trunks of about 12" and 14" took off.
Cut down 4 yrs ago. I gently rolled it down the hill from her yard
to mine. I'm guessing weight about #600. I moved it a bit last week and
would guess it is about #400 now. I am going to cut this up. No mill..
just my chain saw. I'm thinking to cut it length wise, diagonally across the
grain in about 4" slabs. I really like cutting on the diagonal as opposed to
perpedicular or parallel. Hoping this is going to produce some amazing wood for boxes.
Thoughts/comments/suggestions.
