A friend has one and it works. We used it to make the cutouts for barn owl boxes.

If you like spending time in CAD software it's a nice addition to the shop.

I saw that in Woodshop News about a year ago and looked it up.  At that time it was still not for sale; seems that has changed now based on your comment.  That could be a great addition for a small shop (me) with no room for a dedicated CNC (me again).

Shaper Origin isn't really all that new. 

First deliveries were in 2017 and there is already a whole community and a library of per-configured projects for one to use.
