Ok...about that Miter saw....decided to repair the OEM handle..for now...was last seen hiding in a couple of clamps..
Winkgrin

got it out of the clamps, today.   got out the Dremel with a couple sanding drums....and proceeded to blend things together, and strip the old finish off..then install it back onto the saw plate it came from...even clocked the cleaned up bolts..
Cool

Looks better than it did, at any rate

Then gave it a coat of stain...
Cool

Maybe tomorrow, I can add a coat of Varnish?   Was then able to put the "pattern" handle back onto it's own saw plate

The 3 bolt handle is for a Stanley No. 358 Mitre Box....the longer one?

Goes here...Langdon No.75 Mitre Box.    I suppose I could use the rehabbed Goodell Pratt Company saw in the Langdon....as for the blank I was going to shape?
Uhoh

may save, for the next broken down handle that shows up?
Show me a picture, I'll build a project from that
