Dishwasher Repair Advice (Problem Found)
#12
What Roly says makes sense because when the screen on the valve was completely clogged the dishwasher would go ahead and try to run its cycle even with no water in there.  Which turns out to be kind of dangerous because it gets VERY hot in there without any water splashing around.  We lost a few plastic items to deformation when that happened.  I too thought that it should fill until the floats tells it is full and if it never gets full it should error out in some fashion, but that does not appear to be how it works.   There is definitely a float to prevent over filling.
