After you click Add Attachment and choose the file, you have to click "Insert into post". It's a goofy process but it's all we got...

Thank you for the help. I read the same thing in the “sticky” post about posting pics, but that option never showed up.

There was a problem like this a few weeks ago that got fixed.
New Attachment - Browse and select (size limit in bytes may apply)
Add Attachment
Click in editor window where you want the pic
Insert into post
