Turning chair spindles with a block plane....
Hint?  Well, he works out of this place...
   
Down in Covington, KY....and uses this as his tool chest...

Too bad that you didn't bring up the making pens with a block plane tip with him and see his reaction. He came across many ludicrous (read impractical) or recycled tip submissions while an editor of Popular Woodworking. If my memory is correct, he wrote a blog article on shop tips some months ago on a pay site.
