JET JBS 14 ask
#5
I have a JET band saw thats rarely used.  I always keep the blade tension off unless its being used.  Recently I noticed that when engaging the tension it grinds to get there.   Since I only use it a couple times per year I cant recall if that's normal.  Can someone advise?   Thanks

Need some lube, maybe?  I've never noticed any noise on my 18.

IDK.  Definitely isnt smooth.   It actually takes great effort to engage the tension and I dont recall it being that way when purchased.

Back the adjustment completely off. Lube the shaft. With the blade off, run it up tight, lube the other side. Keep doing that and maybe it will free up.

The Revos apparently are designed to clamp railroad ties and pull together horrifically prepared joints
