Timbermate is great stuff.  Hole filler, grain filler, it has many uses.  Plus, you can change the color by adding Transtint dye to it.  So if the color you want isn't available, you can either mix two or Timbermate colors or you can start with a lighter one and adjust it with Transtint.  And, as others have said, it never goes bad.  If it dries out rock hard, just add some water and wait, and it will reconstitute as good as new.  

One tip.  Do not use metal tools with Timbermate.  It will get a black stain in the can.  The stain doesn't extend beyond what the metal touched, but if you use plastic tooling the problem is avoided altogether.
