Not a terribly difficult spring to make ... measure the wire gauge of the old one ... pick up a length of piano wire ... bend up a new one. Might take a few attempts, but you will get there.

I stir .. AND shake as violently as I can to get the flatting agent in suspension .. then, I thin it drastically,, and finally, use it as a wipe-on finish.   You will never get any bubbles using this ...

I have several of each color in my shop, and have noticed no difference between them.   Never before been advised that they have a horsepower rating ... got them on my Grizz 1023 ... my Woodmaster 18"...

I thin it WAY down (70%:30%) with VM&P NAPTHA ... it drastically reduces surface tension and allows the varnish to seep down into the pores which completely eliminates bubbles.   Wipe it on with a pie...

Go to Peachtree Woodworking, and you'll see 80% of the stuff at the show with no admission.   I miss the days when the show was really worth attending, but that was a long time ago.
